This piece is encaustic on digital photo (printed on Arches paper) and mounted on copper. The paper is adhered to the copper with encaustic medium, and the paper, since it is fairly thick, is not flush with the surface of the copper. There is a small block of wood on the back so the piece can be hung on the wall.

I wasn't sure how this would work, and I've only briefly experimented with wax on photos, but I like this little piece. Comments welcome.....

Update: This piece is now hanging in The (Dark) Show at StrataSphere Gallery in Philadephia.
